God wants to transform your life and make sure you spend eternity in forever. Remember, it is up to you to respond to God’s love in the Person of Jesus Christ. You must invite Christ to come into your heart and life to become a Christian.
Church membership, baptism, communion, the sacraments … these are not salvation. Salvation is when you understand five simple facts. Listen carefully:
• Everyone has sinned. No one can match up to God’s righteous standards because we are sinners by birth and choice.
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:10, “As it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no, not one.”
• Jesus Christ died for you! Jesus took your place on the cross. All of your sin was nailed on Him.
Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
I Peter 3:18, “For Christ also suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.”
• You must turn from your sin (repent) and turn to God for His salvation in Jesus Christ.
Luke 13:3, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Acts 3:19, “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”
• You must receive Jesus as your Savior and invite Him to come into your heart and life.
Romans 10:9, “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10) For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Invite Jesus Christ into your heart right now by prayer. Simply pray this prayer and mean it with all your heart: “Dear God, thank You that You sent Jesus to die on the cross for my sin. Thank You that He rose from the dead. Right now, by faith, I invite the Lord Jesus to come into my heart and to forgive me of all my sins. Thank You for receiving me and making me Your child. Help me now to live for You and tell everyone about You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
• Don’t doubt your salvation. God does not lie. You have received Christ into your heart and life and He is there to stay forever.
John 5:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”Be sure to complete the following form so we can know that you have received Christ and are going to forever!
